Our Mission

The Lockport Lock Monster Youth Hockey Association looks to provide the youth of Lockport and the surrounding area the opportunity to participate and grow through the game of ice hockey. Our goal is to offer programs, from beginner through midget, at multiple ability levels. We desire to surround the organization with only the highest quality coaches as they mold and teach our players how to conduct themselves as athletes and good citizens. Organizationally, we want to develop a coaching philosophy that builds bottom to top by having coaches follow the organization’s growth plan. Players should set personal goals to improve their play, gain an appreciation for the game and respect all involved – coaches, referees, teammates, opponents, parents and rink staff. Hockey is a family sport and we strive to surround our organization with such families as dedication and commitment by parents are key components for a successful hockey organization.
